Yesterday I started texting people I regularly talk to (which is roughly 7) and asked them two questions to gauge who I associate with, and I’m glad I did. I asked them…
What do you ideally want to do with your life? & What steps are you currently taking?
If there was anything in this world that you wanted to do and make a living out of, what would that be? Because we all know someone that complains on social media about how they have to get up early going to jobs that they hate, engrossed in making easy money, not moving the way they want because the thing they really want takes too much effort, or money, or they think they need a perfect starting point. Buried deep down in me is someone who still thinks that they can help everyone, knowing I can’t. I’ve already tried with a cousin and one of my best friends, both artist, both have talent, but would not take the simplest steps to put their ideas and talents to use, even if I or someone else helps them step by step.
This is the purpose behind The Wingfield Blog, to motivate, share tools that makes the visions you see easier to create, dispel the myths that people have about creating products, businesses, living a certain lifestyle from someone who is continually progressing and has had a history of making something out of nothing . Here’s one of the conversations I had.
Right now I’m working my hardest to make my goals happen and cannot afford to spend energy on the people who are not willing to try. I want each of you to pose these same questions to the people you regularly speak to and see what answers you get. I still have other people I need to ask, but thought this would be an interesting thing for any of you to do & see for yourself what type of people you’re surrounded by.
Thank You for Listening,
