Hey Everyone,

The past few weeks have been pretty motivating. Like never before I’m more ambitious, focused, able to get things done. I credit a bit of this to the fact that I find myself making more progress, but mostly to the topic I want to talk about now, my approach to immersing yourself in motivation.

1. What You See

7983207881_302b4d54e9Environment. Change what you see on the outside & changes will reflect on the outside. This could be something as simple as who you follow on Social Media, what video content you watch, how the space you’re currently in looks like, even the people you interact with. You’ve heard the saying before that “You’re the sum of your 5 closest friends” right? Well, if you have 5 close people around you that are continuously doing well for themselves, don’t you think that you will be influenced to do well also? Put yourself within the environment you want to be a part of.

2. What You Hear

What are you listening to on a regular basis? I don’t specifically mean the type of music, but the conversations going on IMG_4012around you. Is it how someone you admire just did something that you’ve always wanted to do & talking about how they did it? Are you learning how something works? Or are you arguing about how ____________ celebrity is right/wrong and what happened on some reality show? I personally am not a fan of Reality shows, but if that is what entertains you, that’s fine. But do not make that your primary topic of conversation because noise that does not progress you, will eventually hurt you.

How about the people that talk about what they would like to do, but not about how they’re going to do it? The “It’s not easy”, “I don’t know how”, “I don’t have time”, or “I don’t have enough money” crowd. Is this where you’re getting advice from? If so, you can either attempt to help them, but you can only do so much before you just have to step away. People will make excuses and try to tell you everything negative that will happen, even if they have not experienced it themselves.

3. What You Think

This one is my personal favorite subject to discuss because I’m a believer that how you approach the world starts with your line of thinking. Having an open mind is a lot more beneficial & less limiting. You would be surprised by what people are able to accomplish simply because they had an idea, and told themselves that it is possible to achieve and worked towards it. Anyone can have a goal to reach, but when your mind is influenced by negativity, you chances of achievement decrease dramatically. There is no special circumstances separating you from someone else that is doing what you want. I don’t wanna pull a Shia LeBeouf on you but…………………

I tell people all the time, you never know where you might end up if you just start somewhere. Nothing needs to be perfect before you’re able to do what you want. Trust me, know how it is. Feel free to look a my post My Story to the Young Creatives where I put what I’m telling you into practice.

Motivation can be accessed, you just need to put yourself in a place where it’s coming consistently. If you’re in an environment where motivation is dry, change the environment, everything else will fall into place.

Let me know what you think about this post or your thoughts about motivation in general. Did I leave any important topics out? Let me know! Feel free to share and also subscribe to The Wingfield Blog.

Thank You for Listening,
