Here is a compilation of videos featuring one of my favorite people, Neil DeGrasse Tyson. I specifically want to bring your attention to point #6 at the 11:50 mark in the video called “How to know a lot of cool stuff”. This is what I believe to be the perfect summation of how I want to live my life both professionally and personally (minus the scientist title).
I’m just trying to learn, learn from other people and enjoy myself in the process. I’ve been doing this personally for a while now, now the opportunity to do this professionally has arrived. I recently received an E-mail from the company Geek Fuel, stating that they would be happy to give me an interview if I can make it to an event they’re participating in, in Colorado. The event will be Fort Collins Comic-Con, providing me a chance to capture a fun experience, learn about a growing company, step WAY outside of my comfort zone, plenty of other opportunities. This is no longer an “If I can make it” situation or “This sounds like a nice opportunity but…..”. There are no buts, I’M GOING! I’ve already been in the process of planning out the trip, the cost, and other important details. I still need to come up with the money and at least book a place to stay in advance, hopefully I can take care of that soon.
Progress is being made & persistence is paying off. I wish for all of you to achieve what you’re searching for, and to keep persisting.
